Thank you Spunky!
those are the exact kind of buttons or badges I’m looking for. By the way do you know what they’re called? I feel silly not knowing.
This is for my great granddaughter as I said. She by all the relatives has been completely overwhelmed with things. She has at three years of age three motorized outdoor children’s vehicles. every room in the house is full of very expensive things. her room is some thing that would rival Kates Daughter in England. Her closet if packed with expensive shoes n clothes , many with tags on. She’ll never wear most of them
So this first time I’m able to buy her a little something I want her to make it unique. Her mother does not cook. until she was about four or five every time I came I worked with my granddaughter Summer and taught her how to do a lot of things in the kitchen.
Then the Later years I couldn’t get there because of taking care of mother and transportation issues.
Her mother Summer doesn’t really cook - it was all Carry out, frozen, fast foods. So consequently Summer my granddaughter doesn’t cook at all .
fortunately this is something her husband loves to do. So I want to start Salem out with a little bit of a help. for Christmas I’ve ordered two children’s cookbooks they’re designed for children 2 to 5 years of age. A set of real cooking utensils geared for children . A cute little apron the kind of goes around your neck.
I’ll be including with her also a coupon book and every coupon is a meal or dessert or some thing that she and I will make for the family later in the day. She’ll pick the coupon n I’ll bring ingredients. I’ve got about 25 of those coupons ready. it’s a good variety of things and help her to appreciate what goes into real food.
Now for the buttons - they’re for her on her little apron that she’d wear in the chest would be the button that said Chef Salem. I would be getting three others one for me Chef Dolly, one for my son chef grandpa, one for her dad Chef Jacob because I think once she and I start this her father will pick up the ball and include her in more of the prep .
Jeff has a few favorite things he makes one of them was the stew he made for his son Jayce that died and I have that on his list is called Jayce’s beef stew.
I don’t know if my son will be able to follow through with that or not Because the only time he ever made it was for when Jayce came over
so what I’m looking to buy four of those buttons with four different writings I’m not looking to buy 25 of the same so that’ll be harder and more expensive but I think I wanna go that route
Lol I just KNEW Spunky would find it! That girl is as sharp as a tack.
Dolly, what a lovely, lovely thing for you to do for Christmas for your great granddaughter. My goodness, there you are, just recovering from major surgery, and all you’re doing is cooking and baking and thinking of what you can do for others. So selfless. A rarity in this world. God bless you.
What fun it is going to be for you to do all this with your grand-daughter.
