Unless you have SEEN Trump WRITE in down as stollen I wouldn’t even consider the meaning. It is ALL in the PRONUNCIATION.
I AM the worst when it comes to pronouncing words. Such as I pronounce onion as unyoung. Sheriff as shareif. My father pronounced those words the same way. People ask if I am from the south. I say yes, Southern Idaho.
I don’t know how he’s pronouncing it, but the spelling is curious. It’s a very simple word, and he consistently spells it with a double “l”. I’m not going to venture any guesses or speculate (pardon the redundancy), but it always strikes me as odd.
