Been dealing with various non-medical issues the past few days. Time to get out another update.
Item One:
As if northern China hadn't already had enough bed weather this year, a massive blizzard has struck Heilongjiang Province (far northeastern China). Walls are cracking from plunging temperatures. A fitness center collapsed causing 3 deaths. An additional 8 people are missing in high snow in Inner Mongolia. High winds in Harbin were blowing people across slick parking lots like ice boats on a lake.
There were reports of Thunder snow in Heilongjiang. Thunder snow is considered a very BAD omen in China. This storm was particularly violent.
Item Two:
More bad news for the PRC economy. 42% of EuroZone companies surveyed are say they no longer consider China a reliable supplier and are looking to move critical supply chain items to more political/ economically stable countries. This is commonly called "friend-shoring". 64% of these companies say doing business in China has become more difficult in the past year. 11% of companies say they have left China completely and another 28% are considering leaving.
Item Three:
There is no good news for the Chinese Economy. The Real Estate sector shows no sign of turning around with resale prices continuing to fall nationwide. Unemployment remains high and under reported.
