For me, any discussion of the core concept of the Second Amendment should be paired with the core concept of the First Amendment —
“We should make it harder for people to voice political opinions.”
“We should make it harder for people to express religious faith.”

Exactly - link it to the other GOD GIVEN rights of freedom and free will. Given to EVERY PERSON on planet earth. Our Constitution only affirms those God-given rights, it does not provide them.
