Last spring, I was being aggressively pursued by a corporate recruiter looking to fill an executive-level position in my field. In terms of location and required skills, I would be a good fit. We got to the point where the company’s leadership was trying to set up a series of interviews with me.
I recognized several of the names of these company leaders from my long career in this industry. On a lark, I decided to search these names on several prominent social media websites.
It turns out that in the position I would be filling, one of the key people in my chain of command would be a batsh!t-crazy lefitst harridan who has been posting all kinds of hate-filled, obscene anti-Trump posts on social media from 2016 through 2020. I knew right then that I would never work for that company. Hell, I wouldn’t even want to be INTERVIEWED by that wretched dog — even at gunpoint.
I told the recruiter to withdraw me from any consideration for that position.
