Not many people are principled enough to risk life in prison rather than turn coat.
For someone who is a licensed and practicing attorney, this is also the loss or suspension of her career and livelihood. People like Ellis and Syndney Powell became lawyers to do justice. Then they get attacked by the injustice of the present American system. The reality is that American judges are too frequently just petty tyrants, and the criminal justice system is a mockery of what was before the ratification of the U.S. constitution. The Anti-federalists were right. Our prosecutors and judges have become too powerful. Reform of the American criminal justice system is needed because it can ensnare anyone in its toils.

4 people have pled guilty in the Georgia case so far, 2 of them are men, would you say the same things about them as you have Jenna Ellis.
I doubt anyone here on FR facing financial ruin and 20 years in jail would not take a plea get this behind them and still be able to continue their career in all likelihood.

2 of the 4 who have pled guilty so far in the Georgia case have been males.

None of them, it is really easy to tell other people to grow a spine and fight the case when they are not involved in the case, let them face 20 years on prison and financial ruin and they would fold like a lawn chair in a NY second.

She’s probably never been in trouble before in her life, certainly not facing prison time in trouble.
It is an incredibly difficult situation to be in, she decided to cut her loses and move on with her life.

G. Gordon Liddy was remarkable for that. He refused to turn on Nixon and so the government had him locked up for 20 years in retaliation. Even Jimmy Carter recognized the injustice of this and commuted Liddy’s sentence.

May I be so bold as to inquire exactly what supposed crimes these people are being charged with?

This is what happens when you put Pygmy cannibals in charge of the court system. If Jenna Ellis was OJ Simpson, she would have nothing to fear about her “crimes”.
But since it is Atlanta run by the African National Congress, you can expect her to be eaten alive. /spit

There’s probably not ONE person here on FR facing similar circumstances, that would not have done the same thing, especially when you have never been in real trouble before.

My personal theory is that the more staunch a person is, when it is safe to do so, the more likely they will fold when the chips are down.

I would have to accept that I would be on the street in order to not take a deal. I don’t think I could sell somebody out for any price. But I couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t give up my other principles than live on the street.
