Michigan State athletic director Alan Haller said he has suspended an employee involved in allowing Adolf Hitler's image to be shown on videoboards at Spartan Stadium before Saturday's football game against No. 2 Michigan.
The employee, who was not named, will be paid pending an investigation that will help to determine potential action in the future. Haller said no one in the department viewed the entire video, exposing a failure in its process.
"Antisemitism must be denounced," Haller said in a statement Sunday night. "The image displayed prior to Saturday night's game is not representative of who we are and the culture we embody. Nevertheless, we must own our failures and accept responsibility."

I wonder about the ethnicity of this staffer?
Related to Godwin’s law?
Haha. I looked it up:
” Godwin’s Law is a kind of rule that people made up on the internet. It says that as an online discussion (like on social media or in a forum) goes on, the chance of someone comparing someone or something to Hitler or the Nazis increases. In simpler words, it means that in arguments or debates online, people might start saying things like “You’re acting like Hitler” or “This is just like what the Nazis did” when they run out of good reasons to support their side. It’s a way to remind people to be careful with their comparisons and not use extreme examples too easily.”
I’ve seen Freepers calling other Freepers Hitler. Too funny
A third party employee?
The university said the image and quiz, shown just before MSU’s Saturday game against the University of Michigan, came from a “third-party source.”
“We are deeply sorry for the content that was displayed, as this is not representative of our institutional values,” Matt Larson, the associate athletic director for MSU, said.
Larson added that MSU will stop using the third-party source, and that it will “implement stronger screening and approval procedures” for content shown on its videoboards.
“”Antisemitism must be denounced,” Haller said”
The colleges must be getting all hell from their Aluminum Societies. But considering that the Israel/Jewish hatred goes back decades in academe, one must think it was ok by everyone as long as it remained low-profile enough.
Dodwin’s Corollary:
Sometimes you really are a fascist and need to be told so.
