We left Colorado altogether. Just getting away from Denver wasn’t enough.

If an upcoming CO proposition passes the voters, it will give the state a budget that grows 1% every year on top of an increase based on inflation and another increase based on population growth. It seems the State apparatus wants to dominate the counties with the power of the purse.

They push it as if it will lower property taxes and better fund the schools, but it's wording is California state election style deception, IMHO. I moved here because the people and the government looked out for each other. No more ... too much population has paradoxically led to detachment from, and too little concern for, ones neighbors and the community.

I moved to Colorado in 1984. It was a purple State where we were fiscally conservatively and socially liberal: Live and let live.

That’s all gone now. It’s just a woke hellhole.
