Perry estimated last year that he had spent around $9 million trying to stay sober.
He’d been to rehab 15 times, he said; he’d had 14 surgeries on his stomach due to damage wrought from his addiction to opioids and alcohol.
The worst of them came when his colon burst when Perry was 49; the actor was placed in a coma for two weeks, he said, and had to use a colostomy bag for the next nine months.

Perry had to use a colostomy bag? wwweeelll that makes us even then. I only saw a couple short bits of his work by accident and nearly had to use one myself. It’s amazing that a waste of space like that was somehow paid millions. 15 rehabs? That’s a stain on western civilization. And 6,000 double A meetings? He really had trouble meeting chicks!
However, Perry either had a premonition of his demise a week prior to it happening (I was not a follower, so have no idea if this was common for him), or something more weird and nefarious happened. I have to admit, I was very nervous leading up to this lunar eclipse that happened yesterday. I thought Maine was the DS play, but maybe there was more.
Perry should have checked with me. I could have told him how to stay sober for nothing———saved hisself 9 mill.
