During my last cruise, the Navy had a reward for ‘squid of the week’ or something. They had a shoot-ex off the fantail. No big deal until they pulled a pristine Thompson out and blasted away. I could have gone squid for a day for a couple mags. Beautiful sound.
On every ship I was on the keys were still held by the Master at Arms....a Navy guy :)
