They should send a 1099 to her.

Time to put that *friendship* to bed.
That is no friend.

My daughter used to enjoy cooking for her friends and they were happy to pay for the food, but that was all planned beforehand. To ask for money afterwards is ridiculous.

Take old left overs out of the refrigerator, coarsely blend it up in a food processor, put it in a container, mail it back with a note that says, “No Thanks.”

Are you aware of the Obama meal at McDonald’s? You order anything you want then make the guy behind you in line pay for it.

That said. I just had 35 neighbors over to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We had a local restaurant cater it. Cost me $1300, not counting the free booze.I hope they brought you presents or gift cards.

YEARS ago I had a friend who bought a VCR (back when they were new and cost a lot.) She invited me and another friend over to watch some videos, then later complained about us bitterly behind our backs to some mutual friends. She felt we should have paid her for part of the cost of the VCR, since we got some enjoyment out of it. Some people really are that way. I wonder if they also charge their friends for the electric bill because they turned the lights on and ran the heater or A/C while the friends were over. You could really get ridiculous with this kind of thing.

That cannot have been the first sign you got that these people are creeps!

"But then they would get a bill for it in the mail."I'd send a note telling him to come pick it up. "It'll be in the back of the house at the servants' entrance."

Nah. No gifts was on the invite. My wife needed a princess day. I never bought her an engagement ring because I had nothing back then. So I bought her a big diamond for the 50th. I got down on my bad knee and proposed to her. I had people taking pics of the moment. Now they run 7x24 on my echo show. Every time she goes for coffee, she sees her self being adored. I’m a golden boy.
To: DeplorablePaul
How utterly wonderful!!! She must be so thrilled. Congratulations, DP!
