I got some facts for you.
Ukraine is not part of the NATO alliance. In fact, Ukraine's ambition to be part of NATO was part of the casus belli for Russia to invade them. The only obligation for America to defend Ukraine is just some hsit that people like Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham have made up.
America is not in a declared state of war with Russia.
At the same time, America IS in a de facto state of war with Russia. Your buddy TimberRattler has made that abundantly clear.
See the dissonance there? You Chickenhawks get to have it both ways; America is at the same time at war with Russia and not at war with Russia. Which totally empowers... who? You Chickenhawks (profiteers, perhaps?), that's who, to control the narrative; we're at war but we're not at war. We turn our hat sideways and we have it both ways, just like the Governor in "Best Little Whorehouse".
Got another fact for you. Poland has wizened up and said "Screw that corrupt g@y ****** *****r Zelensky. If there really is a threat against eastern Europe from Russia, our best best is to cut him and his NON-NATO country off and conserve our resources to defend our own country, which IS in fact a NATO country."
Aaaaaand another fact. Attrition has unfortunately taken its toll in the Ukrainian ranks and Zelensky has now called for the conscription of older men and of college-age girls.
You probably don't have a problem with that at all, though. Someone's got to fight for DEMOCRACY!
Or, pick up your rifle and follow TimberRattler.
*BOOM*
It's not nice to talk about somebody behind their back without pinging them.
No you don't, you're just babbling more Russian agitprop lies.
OKSooner: "Ukraine is not part of the NATO alliance.
In fact, Ukraine's ambition to be part of NATO was part of the casus belli for Russia to invade them."
And your Russian repeater lies begin right here.
The truth is, before the early 2000s, Russia wanted to join NATO, and was encouraged to do so by such western leaders as US President Clinton.
And had Vlad the Invader carried through with joining NATO, it would be literally impossible for NATO to threaten Russia.
But Vlad decided he didn't want NATO as his ally, but rather he wanted NATO his enemy and CCP China as his closest ally.
And so, he shelved plans to join NATO and instead buddy-buddied up with the CCP's Xi-snake, Little Kim and the Moolah Mullahs.
In the meantime, Ukraine had no plans to join NATO and opinion polls showed most Ukrainians didn't want to join NATO but preferred to be neutral and friendly with everyone.
That lasted until 2014 when Vlad the Invader seized Crimea and started civil wars in parts of the Donbas.
Then suddenly, most Ukrainians wanted NATO to help protect them against the insane murderous dictator in Russia.
So today NATO is Russia's enemy because that is what Vlad the Invader wanted!
It had nothing to do with Ukraine wanting to join NATO.
OKSooner: "The only obligation for America to defend Ukraine is just some hsit that people like Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham have made up."
That's a total lie and Russian propaganda nonsense.
The truth is the US first committed to protect Ukraine in the Budapest Agreement of 1994, signed by Pres. Clinton.
Every year after 1994 Congress provided Ukraine hundreds of millions of dollars in mostly civilian aid -- supported by presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama -- until Vlad the Invader's 2014 seizures of Crimea and Donbas territories, at which time US aid increased to circa $500 million per year, and shifted to mostly military.
After Vlad invaded Georgia in 2008, US Pres. Bush recommended NATO membership for both Georgia and Ukraine.
So US presidents and congresses have committed to help Ukraine for over 30 years now.
Further, under Pres. Trump US aid to Ukraine was about double that of Obama's and focused on lethal weapons to defeat Vlad's tanks and BMPs.
Trump also condemned Vlad's 2022 invasion of Ukraine and did not oppose US military aid to help defeat Vlad's assaults.
Today, Trump is thinking correctly about how to negotiate a just end to Russia's invasion, but he has never turned against Ukraine or Ukrainians the way many pro-Russian posters here have.
OKSooner: "America is not in a declared state of war with Russia.
At the same time, America IS in a de facto state of war with Russia.
Your buddy TimberRattler has made that abundantly clear."
Now you're back to babbling more nonsense.
Metaphorically, you can call almost anything a "war", as in "war on poverty", but to equate such metaphors with actual legal warfare is rubbish.
The truth of this matter includes:
Sorry, no, that's not me, that's just you, doing mental gymnastics for the sole purpose of keeping yourself confused and disoriented.
Of course, you can informally define the word "war" any way you wish, but legally, we are not at war against Russia.
OKSooner: "Which totally empowers... who?
You Chickenhawks (profiteers, perhaps?), that's who, to control the narrative; we're at war but we're not at war.
We turn our hat sideways and we have it both ways, just like the Governor in "Best Little Whorehouse"."
I will gladly concede that you are doubtless the expert on whorehouses, and I can't speak to them, or movies about them.
What I can speak to is, that we are not officially "at war" with Russia, any more than we ever were during the 55-year-long Cold War.
OKSooner: "Got another fact for you.
Poland has wizened up and said "Screw that corrupt g@y ****** *****r Zelensky.
If there really is a threat against eastern Europe from Russia, our best best is to cut him and his NON-NATO country off and conserve our resources to defend our own country, which IS in fact a NATO country.""
As usual, when you take your narratives from Russian repeater sites, you get your story muddled and confused.
The truth about Poland and Ukraine is this:
The incumbent government has fallen out with Ukraine over grain and sparred with the EU, while its challenger is former European Council President Donald Tusk 5.
However, a coalition on the cusp of winning Poland’s national elections is expected to maintain the country’s support for Ukraine while prioritizing close military ties with the US and NATO 6."
"Poland’s centrist opposition rode a wave of jubilant optimism Monday following historic elections, as an exit poll suggested it had a better chance of forming the next government than the ruling hard right.
But the country remain locked in what could be a protracted period of political uncertainty, as the governing Law and Justice party scrambled for ways to stay in power."
OKSooner: "Aaaaaand another fact.
Attrition has unfortunately taken its toll in the Ukrainian ranks and Zelensky has now called for the conscription of older men and of college-age girls.
You probably don't have a problem with that at all, though.
Someone's got to fight for DEMOCRACY!"
The USA has allowed women in the armed forces since at least the Second World War and over the years they have been assigned closer and closer to dangerous front lines, resulting in casualties and deaths.
Hundreds of US women soldiers have died in the War on Terror and other recent engagements.
As for Vlad the Invader's actions in Ukraine, the key fact to remember there is that most of Vlad's troops in Ukraine are not actually Russians, but rather are non-Russian subjects of Vlad's Russian Empire.
When Vlad runs out of non-Russians to feed into the Ukrainian meat-grinder, and is forced to conscript more actual Russians, you can well expect Russians themselves to increasing oppose getting their sons killed or maimed for no discernable reason in Ukraine.
Either you don’t knoe or have forgotten that the USA, Russia, and Ukraine are all signatories to agreements made a few decades ago when Ukraine agreed to return all the nukes in Ukraine to Russia. US agreed to protect Ukraine if Russia ever attacked in return for giving up these nukes. We are honoring an agreement which Russia has violated.
