Picture it: America, 1936. Imagine if we had the internet and FR as we do today. We’d have all these Spanish “Republican” trolls and apologists talking about fighting that “Evil, Fascist Franco !” And not a one of them would volunteer to travel to Spain to fight for the (Communist) Republican side.

Where is all this cr*p talk coming from?
You know there were thousands of Americans who volunteered for service with the Spanish Republicans, about the same number who've volunteered to serve in Ukraine today.

You know there were about zero Americans who volunteered to fight for the fascists, the same number have volunteered to serve fascist Vlad the Invader's Russia today.

Seriously, why would you even think of such a ridiculous analogy?
