Why should she back a lighter sentence? She could have been killed. And the a$$hole who assaulted her didn’t seem to even pretend he was sorry. Prison is exactly the right place for him.
Regardless of his reason for lack of control, he’s objectively dangerous and must be treated as such. If he gets out after this, he will end up killing somebody.
Oddly enough “matanzas” is Spanish for killing or massacre. Or maybe it’s not so odd.
I don’t know any autistics, but I’m doubt prison would rehabilitate him. Sounds like a prison mental ward would be the best bet. They can’t cure his autism, and they probably can’t change his behavior.

No one should have to deal with a violent person like that. He needs to be put someplace where he can’t explode on normal people. At least in prison, he will get slugged back hard enough that he’ll learn to control his temper.

Why would she even be given that option without asking for it? If she wanted to have his sentence reduced, she could have asked for that on her own. Where is this coming from, the defense attorney? Trying to guilt her by publicizing her refusal?
Exactly. Why does she need a go fund me page? I assume this guy beat her up in the classroom so she would be covered by insurance by Workmen’s Comp, and probably a lot of different things. And yet it’s the same old story, no matter what no matter who you are I need a go fund me page to beg money from people out there. If I have a good enough story, people will pay me lots of money.
I once had a big for her age, autistic, 9-year-old girl bring a huge plastic doll house down on the back of my skull as I was kneeling helping another child. I saw stars.
She didn’t even realize she did it as far as I could tell. I don’t know why she did, I don’t think she knew why.
How racist are these teachers. She should try to understand their students culture and values. The culture is violence with low impulse control and they value the teacher dead. Holding his culture and values against her young, bright student with a promising future against him robs society of experiencing his sharing I. The future. Racist teacher.
