Is there any such thing as an electric powered gun? Or are they all mechanical? Curious

Easiest
Most fool proof
No mags
No safeties

My safest is Double action only 5 shot
.357 with no hammer spur so it doesn’t
Get caught up in anything and it can also shoot .38 s’ to lessen recoil.
Ruger has a .22 that is Great called an LCR which is about as simple as it gets.
Hope this helps.

correct. That was a secret weapon. And amazingly a repeater.

That impressed the Indians.

Yes. Some shoot large projectiles.

Others smaller bullets but very high speed and repeating weapons.

Yes Sir.

Modern Lithium ion batteries make it more practical. Still they are pneumatic.

Someone mentioned rail rifles, that requires huges amounts of AC power.

Possibly someday there will be a laser rifle.

There have been attempts. (not portable)

The so-called Rail Gun is powered by electromagnetic energy (EMF). But, it’s ridiculously expensive (from a physics standpoint) to operate. DoD may have other prototypes that work better, but no idea how practical they are at this point.
