And actually, on the first part of the statement, I think Trump is right. Netanyahu is so consumed with his legal issues, i think it caused him to take his eye off the ball. I mean... years of planning and no one on the Israeli side had a clue? Seems impossible.

The bigger story is the pervasive ineptitude and mediocrity in Israel’s entire government. It has become no different than any other typical large, bloated bureaucracy.

That’s because it is impossible. More than likely as bad as it sounds this attack was allowed to happen because it gives cover to do what has been coming for decades. Destroy Hamas and take back and occupy Gaza.
And IMO provides for the distraction to take down the cabal in Israel. I would take the calculated guess that high level arrests are happening under cover of this conflict and the US special forces probably have teams on the ground helping. Their cover being US hostage extraction.
