We had one that would sing along with music on the television.Niece's chirps incessantly while she talks.........LOL!
When she lies down, it sits on her chest and chirps until she starts petting it.

They know she’s their ‘Mom’ = the only Mom they’ve really known.
Like most animals we turn into pets, they don’t really go beyond babyhood in many ways.
