Unless there is other evidence against him, I’d have to consider the possibility she stole the money by herself, and vote not guilty.

The hybris is unbelievable. Per NYT:

His parents were also in on the grift.
But she knew what he was asking her to do was criminal. She has no excuse that absolves her participation.

Well, seems nobody found the tapes Paul stashed in the house.
Tapes proved Karla was the evil monster. Paul was trapped cause he did not want to be exposed as someone with a sex addiction.
