First let me say I'm stunned you feel I owe you an answer after you've previously posted abusively to me whenever it suits you. When I copied posts showing that you were disrupting/deflecting with a troll tactic, you denied it. Even when I asked you not to post to me because you are often abusive, "unless thread business" you replied to that post with more insults, claiming it was 'thread business'. You don't 'do' accountability, so I don't believe I need to account for myself to you.
But using your post may serve my own purposes so that others may know how I feel about it.

ransomnote: You surely recall that Jim Rob asked Easy to post on other threads. Let's make that clear - all persons objecting to the deletion do so in the face of Jim's request he not post on the Q threads.
Since those objecting to the deletion know about Jim's request, then it's likely his Admins remember as well. I say admins because you stress 'in a heartbeat'. To me that means it's likely that there was already a Mod or Jim himself on thread.
I don't know if FR has a filter for that purpose (automated - our IT at work put a filter on our internal email so that the head of IT could be alerted to any email that mentioned him by name). IF filtering is possible for posts or user accounts, it might explain the rapidity of the deletion. I don't think it would be a person reporting it because I think it would take longer for admin to receive, read, respond.
I think the issue with Easy's posts, benign or not, is that he has been asked to post on other threads by the board owner. I thought Easy's reply to Jim's request was snark but signalling intention to comply (i.e., "You're welcome" to Jim's polite "Thank You"), but your mileage may vary. Easy returned with neutral posts and then went back to the original complaint re keywords and HG. So it seems neutral posts will likely be interspersed with renewed complaints. But I'm guessing.
When Jim Rob asks someone not to post on a thread, I don't think it matters whether their posts on that thread are deleted slowly or quickly. It's his house, his rules.
This is a basic disagreement I have with Cletus and those who are MOST bitter about the direction of our threads. I don't see complaints working to force Jim to do what users want. If it were me and I thought the FR policy to swift or unjust - I wouldn't waste time warning people on thread over and over through the years, that we can't trust management etc. I would take it up with Jim Rob. He would likely tell me that if I don't like it, I can leave. He would be correct.

Those complaints Cletus makes about the 'direction of this thread' and modding have been expressed ad naseum and tend to have a lashing, often discouraging if not insulting, quality. Having an opinion, sharing an opinion are different from venting your anger on others again and again for something they can't change.
There was, as I regret to recall, an entire season of mortification wherein I was embarrassed to wade through Cletus' repetitious, vulgar, juvenile assertions that Jim Rob or Admin (or both, I forget) had bagster's 'almonds in a jar'. I *facepalmed* the first time I read that series of posts. When Cletus wrote that the Mod(s) had her hand upon bagster's almonds, I posted to admin a mortified apology that one of ours would post like that. I didn't need to, of course, I was just mortified in the moment.
WHY did Cletus keep posting posting posting about bagsters almonds in a jar, supposedly in FR's possession? Because Cletus didn't like FR Modding policy and was trying to manipulate Bagster into contending with Admin on his behalf. It went on for several posts! All the while I was a) embarrassed on behalf of the thread and b) incredulous that Cletus was too afraid to take on admin himself, but was willing to ridicule others for not doing it for him. By his own standards, management would have to have HIS ...ah..in a jar, too.
That was just one of Cletus's themes for complaints about FR and the mods, and that was years ago - pre-Covid. It's not like this theme of repression and 'watch your back' warning is new. It's the repetition, warning and often weaves in ridicule of others.
These aren't just opinions. These are his denigrating remarks repeated at a rate that suggests to me an attempt at indoctrination. We heard it before - some likely have involuntarily memorized it (if I could unsee the 'almonds in a jar' SERIES of posts, I would be grateful).
My restaurant analogy was apt - Cletus is here, he's disgusted, and he won't stop telling us about it, but he himself will not contend with Jim or admin mod.
If Cletus believed half of what he says about the Q thread, and FR management, he'd have left years ago. I think he's still working to drive OTHERS to leave this supposedly 'abusive environment' or to contend with FR management on his behalf.
Regardless, venting on us repeatedly is disruptive. It's not discussion; I doubt anyone wants to have Cletus vent on them if they were to post in disagreement.
Today's outraged posts are an example - most of the people speaking up for EasySt are causing a stir even though they know why the post was deleted; Jim's 'No' means 'No'. I see no value in being angry about the speed of deletion.
All frustration,anger and demands for accountability over 'No means No.'

That definitely can happen to me or to anyone else elsewhere and there's nothing I could do to stop it. I'm not saying perfection; I'm saying WORTH OUR TIME AND EFFORT. For many of us, that's years of effort.

I was on a forum thread once where there was an uproar and demands that a mod be brought to justice. I about fell outta my chair when Jim Rob replied to the angry poster that he had deleted the posts in question. That's the last time I tried to figure out who deleted a post.
I view FR as Jim's property and I view us as guests. We could read it without posting, but he granted us free accounts from which to post and share email. At that point, I realize I may not like everything and it may not go 'my way' but I wanted the place to read, post, email etc. and was willing to accept it and comply with Jim's requests/rules for as long as it serves my purposes.

Thank you for your recent clarification post. The several posters who have kept this recent “concern” going can be quite intimidating. Sadly because of some past criticism I find it more comfortable health wise to simply read on the thread and to post only infrequently than to anticipate being blasted.
Personally I have enjoyed EastSt’s beautiful pictures but I respect Jim’s decision as you expressed it clearly. Some of us are not blessed to have locally people who offer the support and insight that we can get on these threads and the divisive issues make it harder to be here. I can’t express how much I appreciate you continuing these threads and everyone who posts such valuable, informative comments. The knowledge on these threads is beyond world class.
