Without the Divine aspect, one cannot be “the meanest son of a bitch in the valley....one becomes a ghost.....suffering from PTSD after just a minor skirmish.

It was at least partially a joke - but I never said (nor would I) that faith isn’t required in life, and especially in challenging circumstances. But you DO need to use the tools that G-d provides to you - brains, eyes, ears, hands, etc. - to protect or better one’s self before relying on Him for a miracle.
