What’s that book those presidents swear in on every four years? Of course, it’s the Bible. Is it just a prop or is there meaning to that tradition?

Based on the the conduct of many Presidents, I’ll go with “it’s just a prop”.
I’m sure there’s something in that book about harming children and murder but we have rampant abortion clinics everywhere. So, I’ll take props for a $1000.
I have a Bible called The American Patriot’s Bible in both New and Old Testament, it shows all the Presidents and where they placed their hand on the Bible. For example George Washinton placed his hand on Genesis 49:13 in 1789.

They’re going to lie to God. They shouldn’t be taking an oath on the Bible.
Perhaps in one of the filibusters the speakers should constantly read from the Bible. That way in future reading in Public, you can claim you are merely reading from Government archives.
