A woman has filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, claiming that she reportedly suffered an "injurious wedgie" while riding an attraction at the theme park destination's Typhoon Lagoon water park years ago.
According to the complaint obtained by PEOPLE, the lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in Orange County, Florida, by Emma and Edward McGuinness. The couple is seeking $50,000 in damages after Emma, 33, allegedly suffered injuries during the couple’s visit to the water park in October 2019.
Emma alleges that her injuries occurred on Humunga Kowabunga, a slide that is approximately 214 feet above a pool.
"The impact of The Slide and [Emma's] impact into the standing water at the bottom of The Slide caused Ms. McGuinness' clothing to be painfully forced between her legs and for water to be violently forced inside her," says the complaint. “She experienced immediate and severe pain internally and, as she stood up, blood began rushing from between her legs.”
“She was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for medical care and treatment, and eventually transported to another hospital for the repair of her gynecologic injuries by a specialist," the complaint continues.
Alan Wagner, the attorney who filed the suit, wrote in the filing that while Emma was aware there were risks that could occur while on the attraction, “The Slide carries with it specific risks about which Disney knew or, in the exercise of reasonable care, should have known.”
Wagner added, “These risks are not disclosed by Disney to its guests and were not disclosed to Ms. McGuinness.”

Suing Amusement Parks is almost impossible.
ROTFL!!! Watch that Wedgie!
Oh, who me? I’m here for the posts.
I can imagine riding the Humunga Kowabunga could be dangerous. I have heard that riding the Longus Schlongus is even worse.
Imagine the damage that could do to a man. 🥜
From now on you must be nude to ride this ride.
Ima gonna need to see pictures of that.
Sounds like they're making fun of Africans. Isn't that frowned upon these days? Someone needs to tell Disney this isn't the 1930s any more. Al, Jessie?
When I was the public works director, we had a guy sue the city over an injury on the slide at the city pool. He tore his gangly big toe nail off on of the joints. He got $3000
Yikes - if that is actually the case it does sound like a serious injury.
Sounds more like she blew a tampon.
Regards,
Given the details of the injuries at this link...
...I think you may be in to something.
She may be going for an amount that is small enough that Disney will decide to simply pay it and not spend a lot on thier lawyers.
Seems like the thong thing to do.
The Thames.
