One question. How in the world would the scammers get enough voice samples from your child to make a convincing deep fake voice recording?

Evidently the AI programs are now so good that only a few seconds of a voice recording would be needed. That’s what the article mentioned, anyway.

Actually, a person calls and says “grandad/grandma, this is x.c.x and I got into an accident and need money”. The voice sounds funny and he says “I smashed my nose” and things go down hill from there. HANG UP.
