——aaannnddd there’s a big fat loophole in the 26a rule. It only addresses “elected leadership.” Trump would be an exception to that rule simply because he’s not an elected rep. As an “outsider” he’s still qualified to be a speaker but not governed by elected leadership rules.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were TX, NM, AZ, southern CA, etc. for the Spanish alerts. But OK? Sure hope it’s not a sign of a coming influx of male military-age illegals slithering up this way.

I see two ways of looking at this… either McCarthy was serving as Pelosi’s puppet (entirely likely)… or McHenry is throwing a temper tantrum and throwing all their Democrat “friends” out of their digs as revenge. “After all we’ve done for you!” ( Gavel slam)
