Giving away $500 million and actually have it not wasted, not contribute to some evil and actually have it used for good is a very difficult thing to do.

Too many idle rich anyway, living on the hard work of others with no appreciation of what it takes to earn that kind of wealth.

Doesn’t mean the kids are getting nothing.

Yeah they were never married, but she I think pushed out 4 of Mick’s kids.

No doubt. A great problem to have. :-)

Actually. they did get married in 1990, but the courts ruled it was invalid. Apparently, Sir Jagger arranged a marriage he knew everyone would think was valid, but he could later claim wasn’t. That seems kind of fraudulent to me.

Too many idle rich anyway, living on the hard work of others with no appreciation of what it takes to earn that kind of wealth. With few exceptions, it is never a good idea to leave your children with so much money that they never have to work for a living. They typically get spoiled and end up with wasted lives. Also, they tend to be very liberal, as they will never know what it is like to earn their own wealth on their own hard work and merits.

I heard that one of the major investors behind Canary Wharf got his start by inheriting seven commercial buildings. He then developed his real estate empire.

Mick Jaggar: The children don’t need $500 million to live well.
I notice that Mick Jaggar isn’t giving any of it away now...

Giving away $500 million and actually have it not wasted, not contribute to some evil and actually have it used for good is a very difficult thing to do. Indeed. It's probably easier to teach your children to live prudently and handle money wisely. Doing that is a father's responsibility.
