‘Zulu’ was the movie that gave him his big break.

He did a lot of great ones, The Ipcress File, The Italian Job, Get Carter, and if you want comedy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. They’re really doing him a disservice just naming his most recent films from imdb instead of his really stellar performances that mostly happened decades ago.

‘Zulu’ was the movie that gave him his big break. Wonderful movie.
He was in many great movies. I highly recommend "The Man Who Would be King", as well.

[“Vanishing Point” was a cool movie.]
I saw that movie at a drive-in back in the early ‘70s. No, I was not old enough to drive then.

Zulu got him in pictures.
Alfie made him a star.

Caine played the total cad in the movie “Alfie” (1966) showing early in his film career how versatile he was in characterizations. One of the greats from the UK.

Vanishing Point’ Actor Barry Newman Dead At 92...Lat thing I saw him in was The Limey. RIP.
Does that complete the three: Brooks Robinson, Michael Gambon, and Barry Newman.

“Everybody’s going to die. At least I’ve lived to f—g 90; I didn’t die at nine, or 19, or 29. I’m 90, and I’ve had the best possible life I could have thought of. The best possible wife, and the best possible family. They may not be a family that other people would say is the best possible family – but the best possible family for me,” he said.I don't think anyone would argue that Michael Caine has not had a very interesting and rewarding life. Sure he appeared in some real stinkers but what actor hasn't?

I highly recommend "The Man Who Would be King", as well. He and Connery were great.
