Sen. Menendez: "A cornerstone of the foundation of American democracy and our justice system is the principle that all people are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The court of public opinion is no substitute for our revered justice system. We cannot set aside the resumption of innocence for political expediency when the harm is irrevocable... Instead of waiting for all the facts to be presented, others have rushed to judgment because they see a political opportunity for themselves or those around them."

Actually, it’s more of a religious concept.

Legally, there is just “not guilty” until proven “guilty”.

Socially, there is innocent versus not innocent, especially with regard to sex.

Seems that these days our justice system is followed differently than at other times. Often a person seems to have been thought guilty, so great means are gone to in trying to prove his guilt. At other times, many seem so sure of a person’s innocence that they must see a great many proofs of guilt before anything is done at all. Somehow this doesn’t seem like “equal justice” to me. Sometimes justice is served in strange ways; not necessarily in a court of law.

Agree the WH is looking for anything to dodge the mishandling of things everyone there lies and deny the facts.
