What’s wrong with George Washington? Keep him as the only one on any coin.

I’ve got no problem with Jefferson, either. The current design leaves a bit to be desired, though.

Nothing wrong with George, but I personally favor Lady Liberty in her various incarnations on our coinage. Bust, seated, standing, walking and striding forward out of the coin itself.

I also favor the Indian head cent (not a real person), the Mercury dime (allegorical figure, with the bonus of fasces on the back while we were fighting fascist in Italy) and the buffalo nickle (composite of several Native Americans' faces)

Actual politicians? Not so much.
