Yes It’s odd that it was two dogs now.
I just read that article and asked myself the same questions.. why? I’m ASSuming these dogs are professionally trained. I ASSume the SS are trained to read dogs. Are they getting dogs from unstable lines? And I gotta say, I got nuttin. I don’t understand.

It could be all of the above.
Our 1st dog was always friendly, loved any new visitor as if they came to see her instead of us. She would bark once or twice because of the doorbell, then would do this dance in circles that we called “the crooked butt” in greeting. Then my Brother in law came to visit while on business in town, when he showed up at the door the dog was barking very loudly and when he walked in she lunged at him and tried to bite him. She sensed how intensely I disliked him. He was the only person our dog ever had a reaction to. I dislike my BIL and he disliked dogs.
I suspect that these trained dogs require an alpha handler, but Biden doesn’t fill that role.
When a dog doesn’t have an alpha handler, the dog takes that role automatically. In the pack, there is always a struggle for the alpha position. The alpha keeps the betas in their position, until he doesn’t. This is what happens with tiny lapdogs. Sitting ON TOP OF the human IS dominance and alpha behavior.
When the dog is the alpha, humans get bitten, no matter the size of the dog.
