Paxton piece....written by the immigration beat guy......is misleading. Paxton has tried to get a court date set for years. The other guys are causing the delay. Collin County was having to pony up the lawyer fees until they refused. Then it got moved to Houston. Imagine how much those fat cats stand to make off of this, until perhaps the acquittal. Perhaps they will cut their losses but are they that smart? Do they have the judge in their back pocket? Brother.

Absolutely agree with you about Byron Donalds.

The only issue would be having both members of the ticket from Florida, which raises a constitutional issue.

There may be workarounds.

In a way, I like Boebert better after seeing this.

She filed for divorce several months ago. Sometimes those legal wheels turn slowly.

She is human, like a certain former/future POTUS, and is entitled to live her life and to be happy.

Vaping in the theater was a bad decision, but getting bounced from the theater should be the end of it.

I’ve always been one who believes those in leadership positions should be held to a higher standard - but it seems like these days it’s exactly the opposite.

The problem with possessing substantial amounts of physical gold is making oneself a target for crime, or worse, government confiscation as perpetrated by one of our worst, most traitorous Presidents ever, FDR.

Can we starve them out before they starve Taiwan out? ...and they wouldn’t have to starve Taiwan all the way, just squeeze hard enough to get them to surrender/unify.

We don't need to actually starve them. The CCP will not be able to fight the war all out. They will need troops at home to guard against civil unrest.

The CCP leadership is already twitchy about people standing around, silently holding blank pieces of paper. One guy, Peng Lui, with one long banner on an overpass last year scared the hell out of them.

Just the act of starting the war will mean their demise no matter how the fighting goes.

Replying to Broken China from last thread.

The PRC has failed to develop a large enough consumer base to hold on to the economic gains as the pace of industrialization slackens. They tried to skip steps. The CCP, has refused to permit enough personal independence to allow for the innovation necessary. The PRC is dependent on other nations for innovation, materials, markets, and FOOD. Their demographic collapse, for that is what it is, will mean that there will be NO soft landing for the PRC economy. This is about as bold a prediction as you will ever see me make.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another issue with being latecomers to industrialization is described by Carroll Quigley in one of his (unpublished but available) other books, Weapons Systems and Political Stability.
Quigley said the U.S. became the light of freedom because as firearms were becoming available, the average man, making a decent living under capitalism, could purchase them.
In the 19th century, a man with a Colt revolver and a Springfield rifle was as well-armed as any military.
But when firearms became available in Russia, they had not evolved economically, so only the Czar and others of wealth in that feudal society could afford firearms, using them to control the unarmed, impoverished populace.
It's true we can no longer match military weapons. No Abrams tanks or F-35s in the suburban garage. But freedom is still an ideal of most Americans.
Will we keep it, or what's left of it?
Sure, but wouldn't you rather have someone honestly expressing themself versus the absolute fake/fraud/phoniness of the average politician?
I get that, but do you get that I have been on chats, with the other three guys? Where I actually spoke during the discussion. It’s just curious.
