Pretty much. One can add a little stabilizer. But people use a fuel oil tank in a lodge or cabin for decades without doing anything. And, diesel is safe to pump with a little hand pump or a battery operated one, unlike gasoline.

When the SHTF there is no gasoline in hours.

I remembered one of them - gas or diesel - would last. Our neighbor in the Sierras had a huge diesel tank underground.

Unfortunately or fortunately, we moved from the increasingly-liberal state. I miss the mountains and the Reagan library and my son.

But the crazy locals here in East Tennesee will do much better if there’s any type of collapse or violence.

thanks for the info! I must quietly encourage hubby to do more storing of diesel.
