All I ever wanted to be was a wife and mother so I was a stay at home mom. I did go to work for short periods of time when there were things we wanted to do that we didn’t have the money for unless there was some more income.
My husband was a teacher and I am sure you know they don’t make a fortune. (It may be better now though) We had everything we needed and lived a good life.
A very good goal, Spunky.....and it used to be fairly common, compared to recent times. I’m for everyone doing what they feel called to do, unlike many in the feminist movement.
When my son was in Grade 11, the class was having a discussion, and the subject of careers, etc. came up. My son expressed that he thought careers were fine, that women certainly had the brains and the right to pursue anything they wanted. He then made the mistake of saying that he also felt if a woman wanted to marry and be a homemaker and raise her kids, that, too, was fine. Well, they turned on him like ugly on an ape lol.
How dare he suggest such a thing?! You would think he had put forward the idea that men who wanted their wives at home should burn all of their shoes and keep them pregnant and in the kitchen all day lol. He sure got his eyes opened to the rabid left.
That was a good goal Spunky, and the best thing for the kids.
What’s sad is that women are often made to feel bad for not doing everything, as if that’s even possible.
Sorry for the long delay getting my paintings from my grandfather posted. I thought I had already transferred them to the tablet but I couldn’t find them. So I did it again.
There will be some redundancy, I tried to get more than one in a picture so a lot of them are early on when I just started framing.
