Exactly. Camouflage is a great survival tactic—and there are so many variations on that theme.
My favorite old Y2K prep advice was to get red tape and a thick black marker so that if things got really bad you could write “danger—quarantine” in big scrawled letters on the door and put on the red tape...

Those are my everyday clothes, so not a problem, LOL!

Excellent advice, Metmom. When we built our little retirement place in the mountains, we chose a place bordered by high ridges on 2 sides and a neighbors land on one side (which is also bordered by a ridge on the far side), only one way in off the main hwy for the 6 families that live along our dead-end road with the high ridges and dense forest surrounding. Then our drive off the dead-end road is almost a half mile of gravel through rough forest. At first we thought of having a nice wrought iron gate, but Mr. Pandowdy, in his wisdom chose an old tattered rusty farm gate.
