Despite a projected half-a-billion dollar city deficit, Mayor Brandon Johnson is exploring opening a city-owned grocery store to promote food equity. But as CBS 2's Jermont Terry reported, residents won't be able to buy food anytime soon.

DC has a place called Eastern Market where the city rents out spaces. In the past it had a Central Market and I believe a Western Market along K Street.
Baltimore had a place called Lexington Market that had lots of food stalls when I lived in Baltimore. I bought most of my food at the Giant in the Rotunda just south of Roland Park.

New York City has street vendors of fruits and veggies.
NYC stores often had produce out front.
I remember seeing Asians buying veggies near Manhattan Bridge before I boarded a bus to DC.
They ignore the obvious problems. You have a “food desert” because the grocery stores moved out due to robbery and theft.
It never occurred to libtards that they need to fix their communities so they can function.
When I lived in Baltimore a black man sold produce out of horse-drawn cart.
