Thug who beat 60-year-old woman with her own cane 50 times on NYC subway goes on deranged rant as he's perp walked by cops following arrest

The thug who beat an elderly woman with her own cane fifty times on a New York City subway launched into a deranged rant about 'judgement day' as he was perp walked by cops.

Norton Blake, 43, flew into a frenzy as he was hauled through the Transit District 3 police precinct Wednesday.

'Judgement is coming on the face of the Earth, World War III is upon us!' he screamed, while baring his teeth to the media hours after his arrest.

Shocking footage captured the attack five days ago, showing the man identified by police as Blake viciously hitting the pensioner, Laurell Reynolds, with her cane as she pleaded with him to stop.

Police sparked fury after it emerged that Blake was initially set free by cops on the scene after he and Reynolds reportedly offered conflicting accounts of the attack, before public outcry led investigators to arrest the thug days later.

Blake, a career criminal with at least nine prior arrests, was picked up by the NYPD's warrant squad at around 6:30am on Wednesday, law enforcement sources told the New York Post.

After being detained at the transit precinct, he was hauled before the media in cuffs while wearing a navy blue shirt and pants.

At first he appeared to hide his face from the cameras, before he quickly flew into an incoherent rant about the end of days.

While not much could be made out from his furious tirade as he screamed through a subway terminal, he could be heard declaring that he is a 'lord'.

The alleged attacker's perp walk was then taken outside to the streets of Manhattan, as footage of the incident saw him appear to claim his innocence.

The takeaway from this incident is that the public safety authorities in Manhattan allowed a clearly dangerous criminal with a long and violent record to be on the streets in the first place. After the attack on the 60 year-old woman, the same authorities let this scumbag go and only arrested him after the video of a bystander went public and there was a massive outcry. In other words, the public is now having to do the job of the prosecutorial powers in New York. Think about that.

Not covered in the American media: must read this in the foreign press reports.

That image always bothered me, but when I found out the REAL story decades after the US News media portrayed it as a brutal street murder by the unlawful and murderous authorities, this example bothered me even more.

They were at war. That guy being shot was murderous VC.

LINK: The Story Behind Eddie Adams’ Iconic “Saigon Execution” Photo (The REAL story about General Nguyễn Ngọc Loan, VC Executioner)

Communism isn't another ideology, just like Democracy or Monarchy.

It is a vile, evil form of totalitarianism that mandates their dedicated foot soldiers (like the man being shot in the famous photo, Nguyễn Văn Lém (Captain Bay Lop) should carry out specific and targeted campaigns of terror against innocents. If there were an animal we should liken communists to, and model our treatment of them after, it would be rats. The world won't, of course, which is why Communism still thrives.

Dedicated Communists should be treated in the same fashion as this man in the photo. Communism should be made as unfashionable as Piracy was in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Although pirates do live on and ply their trade, they are often dispatched without fuss wherever they are met on the high seas. As they should be.

Communists should be treated the same way.

The other takeaway is that, at 58, I am only 2 years away from being “elderly.” Wow.

The reason the VC was summarily executed was he had just killed some people. Geneva Convention allows for such executions because he was dressed in civilian clothes and was therefore deemed a ‘spy’, who can be dispatched immediately.............

For those offended by that photo, as many were when first published in 1968, the man with the firearm is a policemen who has just found his godson and family murdered by a viet-cong attack. The man being shot was one of the murderers.

I remember those days.

The link I provided summed it up pretty well also.

I have always had a soft spot in me for South Vietnamese who served with us, and have always felt it was a black mark to have left so many behind who I felt we should have helped escape.

So you can imagine how I felt when we ran from Afghanistan, but in those cases, we even supplied the Taliban with lists of who worked with us.

Shameful. Granted, the South Vietnamese we brought here weren’t likely to become instant Jihadis so it was different, but how tough would it have been to find out who the people were on those lists we gave to the Taliban, and get validation of whether they should be extracted before we ran away, but...heck...we left our OWN citizens over there.

What a Charlie Foxtrot, combined with malice and a desire by the Biden Administration to see America laid low.

But, as I said, I think we should have treated those people better who took a chance and worked with us.

I knew a Vietnamese immigrant who worked on machinery for us a few years back, and I had a difficult relationship with him.

He was extremely difficult and obstreperous, and I grew to dislike him. He was difficult to understand, stubborn, and refused to work with you to resolve issues. I would even avoid talking to him if I could.

Then, I was forced to work with him closely for several days in a row where we had to spend many long hours in waiting and observation, so I asked him where he was from and when he came to America.

He said he was Vietnamese, and had been a junior ARVN officer when Vietnam fell. He came to America in 1979, and when I asked what he did between the fall of Vietnam and his immigration to America, he said that he had been in a “re-education” camp in the jungle up until 1978.

I asked if they had finally released him and allowed him to emigrate, and he said no...he had escaped the camp and made his way to the coast, stolen a boat and made it out to sea where he was rescued after a few weeks, then ended up in Australia for some reason. After a little while there, he came to America. (This was quite a few years back, so I can’t remember his exact words)

I was stunned. All the time I knew this guy, I knew nothing about him or his past, and resolved to never take for granted what a person may be or where they had come from.

But the thing that I will never forget, when I asked him what it had been like in the re-education camp, he didn’t say anything. He just got a very far away look in his eyes, and said almost inaudibly “The things we had to do...” and said no more.

It reminded me of a college history professor, a somewhat elderly gentleman who was telling us one day in class about having kidney stones, which is an odd subject to discuss with a class. Years later, after I went through several months of acute and painful kidney stones, I understood completely (I had to command myself to shut up about them, even to my poor wife) and I remembered that “far away” look the professor got in his eyes when he was talking about it.

It was clear the professor was far away too at that point, and I recall thinking “Holy crap. Whatever kidney stones are like, I don’t want them because they must really suck!”

That was the exact same look the Vietnamese guy had in his eyes when he said those words “The things we had to do...”

I’m 63, and I think if I were close by, “elderly” or not, I would have plowed into that guy before he made the second swipe. He sounds like he’s possessed...
