Jimmy Buffett, the singer-songwriter who drew millions of fans with his folksy tales of living and loving on tropical sandy beaches, frozen concoction in hand, died Friday. He was 76.
“Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs,” a statement on his website said. “He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.”

We have a smorgasbord of Buffett threads.
They are hiding his death details. They seem to like to do that these days.
I wonder why????
What could he have had that they want to keep hidden? I understand privacy and all but if it was cancer, you think they would be open about it.
I suspect he got the cancer diagnosis in October, went immediately into Chemo, he was able to play his last show in May, but it probably took a lot to get him in good enough shape to do it, and then, pretty much that was it.

I gotta say that the parking lot tailgate party’s were 1st rate.

He appealed to so many - I am sad people didn’t get the opportunity to grieve or to adjust to the pending loss or to at least have hope. Just one day, he is gone.
