My wife made some carne asada tacos from some fajita cuts from Costco, a little chewy so she braised them and put them in a crock pot for 2 hours with a little water to plump it up and some onions and red bell peppers, cut the thin slices of meat across the grain, very tender now. grilled some tortias and had some wet tacos with a little sour cream and some really good Melinda’s Mexican hot sauce Bes taco I ever et!.

My last job was fun I was live in companion / chef for friend Jenny

She loved carna asada n I’d use skirt steak to make it. Marinade was fresh orange, lime and lemon juices , adding cilantro, garlic and touch of jalapeño,

Her preference for eating some warmed tortillas, avocado, tomato. Side of rice/beans

What cut did your wife chose? Sounds like she did well with a tougher than desired piece.
