We’ve heard that Texas has their own standing army apart from the National Guard.
Where are they?
Why has Abbott not activated them to protect the Great State of Texas?
Do they really exist?

This gives the US Federal Government ‘their space’, and, by deduction, sets up the Texas ‘border’ and becomes their line of demarcation by which to defend themselves from all threats.
