This isn’t my first rodeo with my neck issues, so I knew I’d have to have surgery. I just waited because it’s hard to find capable doctors in these parts, and then I had to go to Wisconsin. There’s a quack in my town but I refused to go to him.
The doctor saw my history, so he said he guessed I already knew what was going on, which I did. The main part of the conversation was whether to go through the front of my neck, the usual way, or the back, which means cutting through muscle so harder to recuperate. Since I already have 3 scars and lymphadema in the front, I decided to go through a few weeks of misery than more daily discomfort all the time.

Oh Rusty I hate to hear this. My oldest daughter went through this. They went through her front first but it didn’t stabalize or something so they ended up going through the back of her neck later. Once they do that you have very little movement in your neck. She almost ran over people because she couldn’t turn her neck far enough to see them. She was only 55 and ended up giving up her drivers license.
