Thanks Spunky. I remember Hoosiermama getting angry at me and others whenever we were just joking around and having fun occasionally. And NIKK complaining about all the hard “work” she put into posts that she thought no one appreciated. Very immature and kinda like working in a company in an insane asylum.
When I got home yesterday I skimmed the thread a little and was disappointed to see nothing but rehashment of conspiracy theories, true or not to the individual, and nothing of the victims of 9/11 or the freedoms we citizens lost because of the Patriot Act. Everything enacted to “keep us safe” is now being used against us. That is not a conspiracy theory.
So I rented “united 93” and watched documentaries with eyewitness accounts. And yes, Islamic terrorists still do want us dead.

I remember several kerfuffles with hoosiermama. I had one or two myself lol. She did seem to have a rather superior attitude, and anyone who questioned her was summarily put in their place! And yes, some of the scolding was for just having a bit of fun. It was rather too bad, but maybe she’s mellowed a bit and is less inclined to hostility these days. I hope so. Everyone deserves another chance, and I’d be happy to see hoosier join us again in the event she wants to apologize and hop back on the thread.
I listened to Noor bin Laden today speaking so eloquently about the Patriot Act and how America handed over so much freedom. I think 9/11 was jumped on and weaponized against America as a “Don’t Let a Good Crisis Go To Waste” operation. Yes, Islamists still want the west dead, and they’re willing to kill themselves to make it happen.
Yesterday I listened mostly to the clips of people at the WTC live, as it was being attacked. Then the thing that got me crying all over again was listening to all of the phone calls home from the airplanes. My goodness, it is heart-wrenching. To hear these voices trying to sound calm, so as not to upset their loved ones, but knowing that they were not going to see them again.....just wanting them to know how much they loved them.....it was brutal. So, so sad.
