Have you ever had your blood checked for cold agglutinins. Cold agglutinin disease is a rare autoimmune disorder where self-targeting antibodies attack and destroy red blood cells at low temperatures. People with CAD are often tired, should not go out in cold weather or even breathe cold air. CADdys often have Raynauld’s syndrome or acrocyanosis. There is treatment.
Many doctors have either not heard about CAD or if heard of it, may not understand it. Since this is a recurring situation, you may wish to have your blood checked for it.
Last night my grandson told me he has something, I cannot remember the term, where, when it’s cold, his fingers swell. Said he lost his gloves. Have you heard of this? I want to get him some good gloves, this town isn’t great for shopping and my health is not great for shopping either.
