No they are not the same. I like Hominy I don’t care for chick peas.

Hominy is sometimes compared to chickpeas. While they are prepared similarly when dried and taste alike, the similarities stop there. Hominy is made from field corn (maize) that has been soaked in a solution made of lime, lye, or ash.

I may get some of the less expensive hominy from Amazon. I am really want to try it now. I would put nice chunks of ham in it.....maybe from these cute woolly piggies I visit every day lol.

I was rather surprised today. I picked up an apple that had dropped and took it back to the pig pasture (next time I’ll take 5 lol). Anyway, I gave it to the first pig that came running over to see me. I expected her to chomp it down in two bites, but no. She took a bunch of cute little bites out of it, taking about 10 minutes to eat it. Lol I thought there was nothing pig-like about the way she ate it.
