All in due time.
“Today there was considerable activity on the Nikopol side of the Dnipro River. The Ukrainians carried out active landings and attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River and then moved troops to the opposite bank of Nikopol, southwestward to Enerhodar.”
This sounds like the kind of river crossing Operation that you have been proposing.
Between Nikopol on the right (Ukrainian) bank, and Enerhodar on the left (Russian occupied) bank, runs the bed of one of the main highways that crossed what became the Kakhova Reservoir, before it was flooded by the dam construction.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred fifty fourth day of the war.
Day 554: Aug 31
Today, there are a lot of updates from the Tokmak direction.
FIRST of all, more information became available about the powerful Ukrainian attack that allowed Ukrainians to breach the second line of defense.
Russian sources started raising the alarm about the imminent threat near Verbove already the day before Ukrainians conducted the decisive operation. Russian analysts reported that Ukrainians received fresh supplies of Western artillery shells and were getting ready to unleash it. Given that Ukrainians were also seen relocating additional elements to Mala Tokmachka, they concluded that the main direction of attack was going to become Verbove.
Interestingly, the Institute for the Study of War made the same conclusion a day prior, but for a different reason. They assessed that despite a huge number of fortifications, such as anti-tank ditches and dragon’s teeth anti-tank obstacles, this line of defense may be weaker.
FIRSTLY, it was not mined as extensively to allow Russians to retreat from the first line, and SECONDLY, Russians seem to be struggling with reserves, meaning that there are not enough people to hold the line.
But looking at all the accumulated combat footage over the last two weeks, it becomes clear that Ukrainians launched the offensive operation in the direction of Verbove more than a week ago, exactly when Ukrainians breached the Russian defense in Robotyne and secured a stable bridgehead. It seems like the Ukrainian command knew that with these positions, capturing the whole of Robotyne was just a matter of time, which is why they could allow themselves to already go to the next plan.
The FIRST thing Ukrainians did to undermine the Russian defense near Verbove was destroying ammunition depots. Geolocated footage shows that Ukrainians destroyed depots in the village itself, as well as on the forefront positions and trenches.
This way, Ukrainians ensured that the troops on the zero line would definitely not be able to receive new supplies because the reserves in the rear were also destroyed. Ukrainian fighters also published a video of how they destroyed a command post of the detachments that were responsible precisely for the security of the northern part of Verbove.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian artillery conducted intense counterbattery fire and focused on diminishing Russian fire support in this direction, which would allow Ukrainian assault units to storm positions more easily.
Lastly, Ukrainians also made an emphasis on preventing Russians from rotating their troops by tracking down and destroying fresh troops on the way. This way, Ukrainian assault units would have to deal with exhausted Russians, further simplifying the offensive. And the result of this work was obvious, as Russian military bloggers reported that the situation around Verbove was extremely risky.
On the decisive day, when Ukrainians launched the first reconnaissance-in-force operation with several groups consisting of 15 troops, the Russian defense started collapsing, and Ukrainians immediately established control over several fortifications.
The Ukrainian command understood that the conditions were perfect and immediately reinforced this direction with units from the 82nd and 46th Brigades. On top of that, Russian sources noted that Ukrainians even supported this offensive with several fighter jets.
Soon, Ukrainian fighters released videos from the newly captured Russian trenches and fortifications, confirming that the storming operation went well, and Russians retreated from the second line of defense. Russian sources also published combat footage showing how Russians are shelling the northern part of Verbove as part of artillery preparation before a counterattack.
The freshest reports suggest that Ukrainians managed to consolidate control over the newly gained positions, and Russians failed to recapture them over the last day. And this is not surprising, as Ukrainians cleared a lot of ground.
In fact, judging by the latest information, Ukrainians are determined to maintain the momentum because today, some Russian sources reported that Ukrainians were launching an attack to the south of Verbove, with the goal of cutting off Russian supplies to the village and then starting storming this village simultaneously from 2 sides.

An observation: in the Free Republic threads, two stand out as very dissimilar from all others, and both are about the "officially" non-NATO war between two non-NATO nations.
Aside from "Comment # X Removed by Moderator," both threads seem to have partitioned their specialties to one of two general "news" sources. This one specializes on monetized YouTube video channels, and the other specializes on monetized Twitter channels. The common denominator -- money.
Both threads exhibit a similar format, beginning with one consistent "headliner" -- this being "bunny rabbit" Davydov" sitting in his "content creation" locale in Switzerland, and the other some Dutch chaps sitting in their "content creation" location in the Netherlands.
Both threads comment to themselves with tens of entries, and both call to a small -- emphasize "small" -- cadre of followers.
This is amusing because those individuals are already "aligned" through their confirmation bias to the themes, such that the daily posts and multiple comments "to self" fulfill all the above observations, and likely non hearts and minds are being swayed, in the "preying."
Both threads, directly and through their small cadres, work to enforce only two points-of-view, making the "not my war" individuals into "pro-Putin" in some way, because, like the old Arab proverb repeated by George W., 'you are either for us or against us.'
Interestingly NEITHER of these pro-Zelensky threads lobby for NATO troops to be openly involved in the land war between non-NATO nations, so their angle is all about money and materiel.
And also, at times both play the 'ridicule' game while crying foul when they are themselves ridiculed.
There is more to these two threads than meets the eye. I think an interesting study would be to list and tally the devotees to each, using prior days' threads to see the Dramatis personae assembled, rather like an end credits list for a made-for-TV movie.
I think that would be an amusing little enterprise for "over the weekend." Of course, the "curator" would appear in the "credits" as an active participant.
What do you think? Could be fun.
Only a handful of those who rule Russia are in favour of war – Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Chief

Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has stated that there are almost no people among Russia’s decision makers who support the continuation of the war.
SOURCE: Budanov in an interview with TSN
QUOTE:
“In Russia, among those who actually make decisions, there are literally only a few who advocate war. Everyone understands that this is a collapse and that the sooner it is over, the better.”
DETAILS:
Budanov also said that it is good for Ukraine when officials and soldiers in Russia who speak out about the real situation are removed from their positions.
BACKGROUND:
-In the interview, Budanov also said that Russia had delivered the first nuclear warheads to Belarus, but it would not be possible to use them.
-Budanov believes that Russia will want revenge after losing the war against Ukraine and that this may happen in 10 years.

Good idea. They’re using an old highway that’s now exposed by the receded lake. No need to worry about trucks and tanks sinking in the old muck. It looks like they crossed at the nuclear power plant.
Lordy, I pray they have spent a couple months practicing and planning that operation. Because that could go sideways quickly—especially if the pictures of the mined reactor plant are accurate.
One way or the other—this crossing cannot be merely raid like the other crossing further south. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the real thing.
