Absolutely! I know people who were ready to stop playing golf because it wasn’t fun any more. The white tees at my club are 6433 yards and that’s very long for the super senior crowd. They’re now playing the new hybrid tees (a combination of white and silver) that measure 6078 yards and they’re back to enjoying the game because they can get pars again and even the odd birdie, as they did before they became super seniors (65+).
@ 74 I am still playing some courses from the tips. The last one was 6900+ yards. Shot a 90...41-49...grrrr.
I still have the distance but I don’t have the game for that.
Heck I don’t have the game I should have from the senior tees @ 5800-ish
I look more toward course rating/slop than yards.
If you want a rough estimate of which tees to play from, times your 5 iron distance by 36.
Seems short to me, but I heard this from a teaching pro.
Lost 8 balls yesterday. I just shut golf down for the rest of the year.
My knees are on fire and until I get that fixed, it’s useless.
Keep hittin ‘em hard, they’ll come down somewhere.

they have an 18 and a 9 holer. IMO the 9 holer is a little booger.
I’ve been a member here for only 2 years.
