Wow…..!!! Well, let me start by saying welcome FRen.
Then I’ll add: That I stopped all paper subscriptions to Local and National news back in 1998. Why pay to support the livelihood of those who are against me was my initial instinct but I saw what was going on then and decided to get my news fix elsewhere. FOX was great back in the early years, until they became FOX FIX, but before then, I had found FreeRepublic for all the news and news resources I could ever want and more.
PS I’ve never posted my own article to the FreeRepublic boards but I have posted some to the threads we have had here over the years. Mostly because someone always beats me to it anyway…..both on the boards and here on this thread and also don’t want to waste any of JimRobs bandwidth.

Ooooh! This thread is where I first posted too after lurking on FR for 20 years, starting immediately after the 2000 election when I saw the media openly take sides on my TV. I was so horrified that I stopped watching network news and sought out online conservative news web sites. I somehow found my way here. I don’t say it enough, but what a blessing ransomnote and these threads are! Welcome.
