Not an axe, a 16 pound splitting maul - quite a heft for a woman! She either ended up splitting her foot in half or I sure wouldn't want to wrestle her.
It would have been nice to have her around when I lived by myself out in the woods without electricity, phone or neighbors back in the 80's. I still have my splitting maul - and wedges - but I can hardly pick it up now! 😥
