The carbon “pre-filter” catches a lot of dust on mine, so I vacuum it a couple of times. Eventually, I replace it, but getting that dust out of there allows it to flow air. Not sure how good it is, but it really helped, with the other HEPA filter, to reduce the smoke smell in the house.

An Approach to Treating Long COVID
Due to the marked overlap between long COVID and post-vaccine syndrome, please refer to the I-RECOVER Post-Vaccine Treatment protocol for detailed treatment strategies. This page highlights the differences between these two syndromes, namely ongoing organizing pneumonia.
About Long COVID
Long COVID, also known as Long Haul COVID Syndrome (LHCS) and more recently by the terminology “Post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), is a diverse syndrome characterized by prolonged malaise, headaches, generalized fatigue, sleep difficulties, hair loss, smell disorder, decreased appetite, painful joints, dyspnea, chest pain, and cognitive dysfunction.
Up to 80% of patients experience prolonged illness after COVID-19. Furthermore, many of the symptoms of are common to COVID-19 vaccine-injured patients; indeed, both disorders are considered manifestations of “spike protein-related disease,” with a significant overlap in symptoms, pathogenesis, and treatment.
To complicate this issue further, many long COVID patients are vaccinated, and the symptomatology of vaccine-injured patients is often exacerbated by an acute COVID-19 infection.
Long COVID may persist for months after the acute infection and almost half of patients report reduced quality of life. Patients may suffer prolonged neuropsychological symptoms, including multiple domains of cognition. A puzzling feature of long COVID is that it is not predicted by initial disease severity; long COVID frequently occurs in people who had mild-to-moderate cases and in younger adults who did not require respiratory support or intensive care.
The symptom set of long COVID is, in the majority of cases, very similar to chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS)/myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. An important differentiating factor from CIRS is the observation that long COVID continues to improve on its own, albeit slowly in the majority of cases. Another important observation is that long COVID includes more young people compared to severe COVID, which affects older people or persons with comorbidities. Furthermore, the similarity between mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and long COVID has been observed, and many consider long COVID to be a variant of MCAS.

Only mask I ever wore was one I made from a pleated scrap of black leftover window screening material. DH liked it so much I made one for him too. People standing 6 ft away didn’t realize we were breathing clean air. Karens never noticed. People who got closer laughed with us at our little charade. I later found out that a company was selling masks similar to ours online. Coulda made a fortune out of it. Right place, wrong time. Ha!
Thanks to everyone good good thoughts, and prayers about the fire. Here’s what’s going on and I won’t post again unless something radical happens, which we don’t expect at all.
Fire won’t come here, several miles away and a LOT of assets to protect the valley. It’s supposed to RAIN starting on Thursday! It won’t extinguish the fires but will dampen down their action (haha and cause more smoke) and I hope the fall rains come earlier than usual. This is VERY early for rain, usually starts mid-September to mid-October, and I remember once didn’t start til (shudder) November.
Most of mine is dog dander and country air.
🙏
I found the tik tok gal’s video of her account of meeting President Trump! Had to search a bit, couldn’t remember her correct name, it’s Cheryl Johnson.

ThankQ.
Mount Everest. In Nepal, where it is, it’s called Sagarmatha. In most Sanskrit based languages [even most European languages have many Sanskrit derived words], “th” is pronounced as “t” with an “h” sound right after. As though anyone could care haha. The idea that George Everest “discovered” it is stupid. People in the Indian continent knew of its existence for thousands of years!
https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/what-is-the-sagarmatha-mountain-more-popularly-known-as.html
“Sagarmatha” is a Nepalese word meaning “forehead in the sky.” The Tibetans refer to the Sagarmatha Mountain as “Chomolungma” which means “Mother of the World.” George Everest, a surveyor in India from 1830 to 1843, discovered the mountain in the year 1841. Mount Everest is estimated to be 60 million years old. is a much nicer name.
“mazkis”

Weird. I’m signed in at TS and I can’t see it, says it can’t be found.
I did a search for it from the TS app, instead of from the web page and it worked.
