Good to hear that states have started going with this. I've been an advocate of using nitrogen for years. It removes almost all the objections about 'cruel and unusual' punishment from the equation. Folks who die from nitrogen hypoxia don't even know they've died. OSHA has all kinds of regulations for places that deal with nitrogen, because it can kill so easily, and your body doesn't even know it's dying, because no CO2 builds up in your system.
Let him have his last cigarette while they’re at it.
At least it is inert. Oxygen is not.
Used to use it to test live gasoline lines. Even used it to air up a tire.
You see, the lefties want to do away with all forms of capital punishment. They got everything else deemed cruel and unusual, then they protested against the companies that made the lethal injection drugs to stop them from being sold to the departments of corrections in states with the death penalty. If this is allowed to happen, and proves to neither be cruel or unusual, they might have a real problem.
FTA: ...depriving them of oxygen and causing them to die.
The piece describes one individual, properly refers to him as “him” but then makes his pronouns plural! WTH!?
The usual moaning and groaning on behalf of criminals. Hand him an electrical cord and zap him. I’m old as hell and the Bolsheviks love killers. It’s their political opponents they want to fry.
Why not put a plastic bag over his head and zip tie it
Is that what passes for writing these days? Shaking my head.
I like this type of execution. I would seal the death row chambers and not tell the condemned which night would be their last.
Damn, at first I thought, cool, that they meant LIQUID nitrogen!
I saw Penn & Teller do a morning show gag once.
Penn dipped a rose in the stuff and shattered it on the counter, then dipped Teller’s hand and shattered IT, while Teller mimed screaming.
Then Teller smiled and his hand emerged from his sleeve as the talking head lady tried to regain her composure.
For millennia, they’ve been trying to find the “right way” to execute a convict.
But there is no right way to do the wrong thing.
