Lighten up Frances ... what's wrong with a little light hearted saturday fringe talk. It was something a lot of folks have enjoyed ... lot's of posts and more then just one liners.
It's good for folks to engage a bit on trivial things , it makes it easier to get evolved in the issues that matter.
Grease the skids so to speak.
You want to do big foot next ... I hear they are looking for nese this week?

I’m sorry but believing the Earth is flat is not a trivial thing in 2023. It is an indictment on how we are sorely lacking in basic scientific education and how fringe conspiracy theories, once relegated to the crazy person standing on the street corner handing out flyers and largely, and for good reason, ignored, in the internet age get’s a platform and followers. It is the anti-information and anti-reason plague of our time.
I have no problem with questioning authority, asking questions or such but believing the Earth is flat or that we didn’t land on the Moon despite all the empirical evidence to the contrary and completely ignoring or refusing to discuss it in a rational manner, whether just to be a contrarian or just from ignorance, is dangerous.
Especially on a conservative website where we are supposedly the intelligent ones.
