I disagree. Philman_36 is not stupid.
He is a great example of a true believer.
No evidence will convince him, because anyone with a brain will always be able to construct a reason not to believe evidence.
I know many smart people who believe impossible things, because they want to believe. They have invested a lot of their time, energy and mental space into believing.
Consider the far-left and "Critical" theory. It has been disproved many times in real-world attempts. It always fails.
This never persuades them, because their entire being is invested in the belief structure.
We cannot persuade Philman_36, because he is not willing to be persuaded. He simply will not accept any evidence which shows his arguments to be false. The Lake Ponchetrain power line is a great example.
Simply changing the angle of a camera picture a small amount, does not change the relationship of items in the picture near the middle of the frame. If you raise the height of camera enough, then the horizon will expand until the far distance fades into obscurity
I will save Philman_36 the trouble, because all he needs to say, is, light is not traveling in a straight line in this case.
A true believer can always come up with an excuse as to why evidence they do not want to believe can be discredited.
That makes him stupid on purpose. Which is worse than just being stupid. He’s not a true believer, he’s a dedicated moron.
